Notes
'Merry Mayshine' peony (Paeonia 'Merry Mayshine') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant deep red single flowers have gold stamens and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The bright deep green foliage is finely cut and well branched.
Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Dittany.
