Notes

Mexican marigold (Tagetes lemmonii) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Yellow flowers appear in several seasons and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. This evergreen is drought tolerant, so it needs little care once settled.

Pairs well with Sunburst aeonium, American century plant, Coral aloe, and Mexican bush sage.
