Notes

'Mid May' peony (Paeonia 'Mid May') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, light pink flowers have a golden-yellow center and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, Little Beauty tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
