Notes
'Middletown' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Middletown') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are pink with petals shaped like a cactus dahlia. The center looks more silver. William Henry Krekler bred it.
Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Woolly yarrow, and Garlic chives.
