Notes

'Milky Way' Chinese dogwood (Cornus kousa 'Milky Way') is a tree for borders and specimen planting, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly and has an erect shape. The leaves turn a new color in fall, and the flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Lady's mantle, and Pale yellow-eyed grass.
