Notes
Miniature lupine (Lupinus bicolor) is an annual for low maintenance gardens. This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows about 12 to 24 inches tall and bears blue-violet and white pea flowers in short, cone-like clusters. The grayish, hairy leaves are palmately compound. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with California poppy, Bird's-eye gilia, and Elfin mother of thyme.
