Notes

'Minima' eastern white pine (Pinus strobus 'Minima') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It has a conical shape and grows at a rapid rate. The evergreen needles give color all year, and birds visit the tree.

Pairs well with Sedge, Witch hazel, Berry Poppins winterberry, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
