Notes

'Mirjam' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Mirjam') is an evergreen shrub for hedges, privacy screens, specimen planting, and foundation beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant form that needs little care, and birds visit it. It sits low on the menu for deer. Its green color holds through winter.

Pairs well with PowWow White coneflower, Prairie dropseed, and Carlton daffodil.
