Notes

'Miwa' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Miwa') is a shrub for tea harvest, hedging, and use as an alternative to boxwood. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. White to cream flowers open in early to mid autumn. You can pluck the top three young leaves from the branch tips during the warmer months. Keep it pruned to any size you like, or let it grow 6 feet or more tall and wide.

Pairs well with Concorde Japanese barberry, Shenandoah switchgrass, Lime Zinger sedum, and Elfin mother of thyme.
