Notes

'Monimp' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Monimp') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms from early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. This dense shrub grows fast and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Amsonia, and Jackmanii clematis.
