Notes

'Monite' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Monite') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its arching stems grow quickly and carry fragrant blooms that draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Black Baccara rose, Ornamental onion, and Gaura.
