Notes

'Montgomery' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Montgomery') is a shrub for hedges, screens, and tea harvesting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Gene Phillips bred it, and it has medium sized leaves and good vigour. White to cream flowers open in early to mid autumn. You can pick the top three young leaves from the branch tips during warm months, or prune the shrub to any size you like.

Pairs well with Concorde Japanese barberry, Shenandoah switchgrass, Star of persia, and Elfin mother of thyme.
