Notes
'Monty' iris (Iris 'Monty') is a perennial for borders, mass plantings, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Dark blue flowers with yellow beards open in late spring. The plant is drought tolerant and reaches 30 to 36 inches tall.
Pairs well with Pincushion flower, Mount Hood daffodil, and Foxtail barley.
