Notes

'Moonlight Masquerader' peony (Paeonia 'Moonlight Masquerader') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its fragrant, straw yellow single flowers have gold flares and open in early to late spring. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 2001. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Flowering quince, Lily, and Clematis.
