Notes
'Morning Star White' thrift (Armeria maritima 'Morning Star White') is a perennial for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a slow-growing, clumping mound of evergreen foliage that stays 3 to 6 inches tall. White flowers appear in spring and again in summer, and butterflies and bees visit them. It tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Creeping juniper, Greig's tulip, and Blue grama.
