Notes
'Mother's Choice' peony (Paeonia 'Mother's Choice') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. White blooms with light pink shading open in late spring to early summer and smell sweet. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it as a seedling of 'Polar Star'.
Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Panicle hydrangea, and Western sword fern.
