Notes
'Mount Saint Helens' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Mount Saint Helens') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimen plantings, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant pink and yellow flowers open in spring and again in summer, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The evergreen leaves keep color in the garden all year.
Pairs well with Green Spice coral bells, Cinnamon fern, and Sum and Substance hosta.
