Notes
'Mrs Macnamara' greater snowdrop (Galanthus elwesii 'Mrs Macnamara') is a bulb for borders, rock gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, clay soil. It blooms in winter, often breaking through the snow, and its long, slender outer petals mark each white flower. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Ostrich fern, and Red twig dogwood.
