Notes
'Mrs. Ward Welsh' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mrs. Ward Welsh') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers have a Japanese form with white petals and yellow staminodes at the center. It grows to a medium height, so it fits well in the middle of a bed.
Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Spanish bluebell, and Red twig dogwood.
