Notes
'Mrs. Woodward' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Mrs. Woodward') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. H.A. Terry bred it in 1906. It bears large, single, Tyrian pink flowers in mid to late spring. The plant stays small and compact, and the blooms sit close to the foliage.
Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Grape hyacinth, and Sedge.
