Notes

'Munchkin' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Munchkin') is grown for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast on erect stems and tolerates drought. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Cotton Candy cosmos, Milkmaid nasturtium, and Red fescue.
