Notes

Naked buckwheat (Eriogonum nudum) is a perennial for borders, meadows, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Its white and yellow flowers appear in late spring, summer, and autumn, and they draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. The plant handles drought well once it settles in.

Pairs well with Black sage, California aster, and Eastern mojave buckwheat.
