Notes

St. catherine's lace (Eriogonum giganteum) is a shrub for borders and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry soil of most types. Large flat-topped clusters of white flowers fade to rust-red and dry well. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Gray-woolly leaves stay evergreen.

Pairs well with California brittlebush, Shaw's agave, and Spanish dagger.
