Notes

'NC2017-6' Texas redbud (Cercis canadensis 'NC2017-6') is a multi-stemmed tree for borders, specimen planting, woodland gardens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows at a moderate rate and blooms in early to late spring. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Cinnamon fern, and Witch hazel.
