Notes

'Nellie Saylor' peony (Paeonia 'Nellie Saylor') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The dense bush stands about a yard tall, and its flowers sit above the leaves. The Japanese type blooms have a deep wine-red collar and a white center.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
