Notes
'Neptune' hosta (Hosta 'Neptune') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a mounding clump of blue-green leaves and bears pale lavender flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Give it room to spread.
Pairs well with Bride's feathers, Solomon's seal, and Vision in PInk Chinese astilbe.
