Notes

'Nestucca' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Nestucca') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, shade gardens, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen and blooms from early to late spring, drawing bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Acid soil suits it best.

Pairs well with Mountain laurel, Redvein enkianthus, and Columbine.
