Notes

Nettle-leaved bellflower (Campanula trachelium) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows in a clump 24 to 36 inches tall and bears blue to purple flowers in summer and autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with David garden phlox, Black-eyed Susan, and Japanese forest grass.
