Notes

'New Hampshire Purple' bloody geranium (Geranium sanguineum 'New Hampshire Purple') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, ground cover, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deep magenta flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The leaves also add color in fall.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Sedge, Pyrethrum, and White Feather hosta.
