Notes

'Night Edition' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Night Edition') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The purple semi-double blooms hold a ball of gold stamens and open in mid to late spring. Each stem carries one bud and has good strength. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1997.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Blue fescue, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
