Notes
'Oceania' peony (Paeonia 'Oceania') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, deep pink flowers have a Japanese form and attract butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Yarrow, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carlton daffodil.
