Notes
'Oehme' palm sedge (Carex muskingumensis 'Oehme') is a grass for borders, ground cover, rain gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. It forms arching clumps that grow 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Deer tend to pass it by. Butterflies and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought once settled.
Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Ostrich fern, and Meadowsweet.
