Notes
'Okinama' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Okinama') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears single, bright aster purple flowers in mid to late spring. The blooms have pink-tinged carpels and a broad, light pink disk. The plant is compact, and it holds its flowers well above the foliage.
Pairs well with Francee hosta, Sedge, and Incrediball hydrangea.
