Notes
'Okitsu Wase' satsuma (Citrus unshiu 'Okitsu Wase') is a fruit tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun. It grows 4 to 6 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, with white blooms in spring and again in summer. The fruit ripens early and has thin, easy-to-peel skin with juicy, aromatic pulp. Plant it in a protected spot for the best results.
Pairs well with Fuyu persimmon, Mondo grass, and Italian cypress.
