Notes

'Owari' satsuma (Citrus unshiu 'Owari') is a shrub for the food garden, grown for sweet, juicy, seedless mandarin fruit. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun. White flowers with a strong fragrance open in spring and summer. The fruit ripens from Christmas to Chinese New Year. Plant it against a warm wall and cover the leaves and fruit in winter.
