Notes

'Olympus' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Olympus') is a perennial that grows 24 to 48 inches tall. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Large, fragrant magenta flowers with pale pink eyes open from mid to late summer, and the yellow, cream, and green leaves have cherry red tips. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Deadhead it to encourage more blooms, and hummingbirds and butterflies will visit.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Damask rose, and Summer savory.
