Notes
'Ori-hime' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Ori-hime') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The blooms are scarlet to crimson with white edges, so they stand out in a vase or a border. The Chugai Nursery introduced it in 1940.
Pairs well with Lenten rose, Golden Tiara hosta, Sedge, and Weigela.
