Notes

'Osiris' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Osiris') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its deep pink or purple blooms shade to maroon and open in early summer. The plant stays short, so it fits well at the front of a border. John Standish introduced it in 1855.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Switchgrass, and Hollyhock.
