Notes

'Passion' carnation (Dianthus 'Passion') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. Its fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Deep Blue Clips tussock bellflower, Early Sunrise largeflower tickseed, and Lavender.
