Notes

'Peter-James' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Peter-James') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Semi-double lavender flowers with dark purple flares open in mid to late spring. Each stem carries one bud, and the plant blooms reliably. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Ostrich fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
