Notes

'Petite Lass' peony (Paeonia 'Petite Lass') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The cream petals have mauve tinges and dark flares, and they open from early to late spring. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Derek Irvine bred it, and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with May Night salvia, Blue fescue, and Astilbe.
