Notes

'Pierre Duchartre' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pierre Duchartre') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double, rose-scented blooms open in late spring in old-rose pink with a silvery sheen. Stems are lax at the base, so you may want to support them. François-Félix Crousse bred it.

Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Maiden pink, Sedge, and Blue sage.
