Notes

'Piibd-I' butterfly bush (Buddleja davidii 'Piibd-I') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and has an arching shape. Fragrant violet purple blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Clary sage, Black Baccara rose, and Ornamental onion.
