Notes

'Pineapple Popsicle' red-hot poker (Kniphofia 'Pineapple Popsicle') is a perennial for borders, containers, cut flowers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Pineapple-yellow flowers appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Autumn fern, Kentucky bluegrass, and Gladiolus.
