Notes

'Flamenco' red-hot poker (Kniphofia 'Flamenco') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its mixed red, orange, and yellow blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It tolerates drought and salt, and the foliage stays evergreen.

Pairs well with Caradonna sage, Lucifer montbretia, and Stargazer lily.
