Notes
'Pinky Winky Prime' panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata 'Pinky Winky Prime') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Large cone-shaped flower heads open creamy white in summer and age to pink and red in fall. The blooms are fragrant and attract bees, and you can cut some for dried arrangements. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with American cranberrybush, Western sword fern, and Solomon's seal.
