Notes

'Pinnacle' oriental poppy (Papaver orientale 'Pinnacle') is a perennial for borders and bee gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Ruffled ivory petals have bright orange edges and dark purple-black centers. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The plant goes semi-dormant after flowering, so set a low, mounding perennial in front to hide the bare spot.

Pairs well with Dr. Alexander Fleming peony, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Love-in-a-mist.
