Notes

'Fruit Punch' oriental poppy (Papaver orientale 'Fruit Punch') is a perennial for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Its large, ruffled, crepe-paper petals come in hot pink, orange, plum, and red in late spring. It goes semi-dormant after flowering, so set a low, mounding plant in front to mask the bare spot. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Little Beauty tulip, and Ageratum.
