Notes

'Pirate’s Patch' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Pirate’s Patch') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. White flowers have a tint of lavender and a dark purple center. The blooms open at midseason and sit well above the fine, light green foliage. Each stem holds one bud, and the stems are strong.

Pairs well with Hollyhock, Stargazer lily, and Toad lily.
