Notes
'Pistiensis' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Pistiensis') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The creamy white flowers have lavender-pink flares and bloom in early to mid spring. Each bowl-shaped bloom can reach 10 to 11 inches wide. Stems may need support as the spreading plant matures.
Pairs well with Tickseed, Lily, and Christmas fern.
